Energica – The legendary Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello will be the scene this weekend of the sixth demo lap of the year for la Energica Ego Corsa. The splendid electric superbike designed and built by Energica is traveling to the Tuscan hills together with the 2018 MotoGP World Championship for what will be the sixth Grand Prix of the season for the prototype world championship.

Energica Motor Company SpA is the world's leading manufacturer of high-performance electric motorcycles and the sole manufacturer of FIM Enel MotoE World Cup. Energica motorcycles are currently on sale through the official network of dealers and importers. On this occasion, the Ego Corsa will be driven on the spectacular and challenging 5,2 km of the Mugello track by the six-time world champion Max Biaggi. In his 22-year career at international level, Biaggi was champion of the 250cc world championship four years in a row (1994-1997), three times vice champion between the 500 (1998 and 2001) and the MotoGP (2002), and twice WorldSBK champion (2010 and 2012). In 372 races started, Max collected 63 wins, 182 podiums, 61 poles and 60 fastest laps. Max is now ready to get on the Energica Ego Corsa and ride once again on the Mugello track in front of the Italian public. “What can I say: I know the MotoGP paddock and the Mugello circuit very well, so I'm happy to return there and embrace the Italian fans again, who have always been fantastic to me – explained Biaggi -. It's always nice to be able to put on your leathers and go for a lap of this track, and I'm happy to do it this time with the Energica Ego Corsa. It will be my first time riding an electric super sports car, I've driven an electric single-seater in the past, but never a motorbike, so I can't wait to try it."

The sixth demo lap of the year for the lead-up to the 2019 FIM Enel MotoE World Cup will begin on Sunday at 13pm, in front of what will be the usual incredible crowd at the Mugello circuit.
