Noise and motion, ANCMA: the guidelines relating to anti-tampering regulations for exhaust silencers
What has been developed by ACEM announced
Confindustria ANCMA (National Association of Cycle and Motorcycle Accessories) reports in Italy the guidelines developed byEuropean Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (ACEM) for limit noise emissions from motorcycles, in collaboration with operators in the aftermarket exhaust sector.

The operation was also supported by main companies in the sector such as Akrapovič, Arrow, Giannelli, Lafranconi, LeoVince, MIVV and SC project. Thanks to the contribution of national trade associations, the aim is now to raise awareness of motorcyclists, authorities and other manufacturers of exhaust systems.
The initiative, also promoted byinternational association IMMA and ANCMA, was created to avoid divergent and ineffective interpretations of anti-tampering regulations for exhaust silencers and clarifies the technical requirements to ensure the resistance of fastening solutions silencer deflectors and dB killer to prevent simple removal, as indicated.
