Vespa: the new electric and three special series at EICMA 2019 [PHOTO]

Four new features for Wasp ad EICMA 2019, the Milanese motorcycling fair, open until Sunday 10 November. Three special series (Primavera Sean Wotherspoon, Primavera Red and Racing Sixties) and the renewed Vespa Elettrica, now capable of reaching 70 kilometers per hour. For a historic brand, but always current for the Italian two-wheel panorama.

The new Vespa Elettrica 70 km/h

The main innovation is, as we were saying, the evolution of Electric Vespa, in the new 70 km/h version. It differs from the front shock absorber spring painted red, a color also taken up on the decorations on the power unit cover. The greater performance is the result of the experience gained by the Piaggio Group on the power unit and the lithium ion battery and derives from the optimization of all the components.

THEautonomy remains 100 kilometres, with ECO mode (maximum speed limited to 45 km/h), while in Power mode it is possible to travel up to 70 kilometres. Finally, the lengthening of the final transmission ratio has also made it possible to obtain greater silence.

Moving on to the special series, the Vespa Primavera Sean Wotherspoon it is created in collaboration with one of the most famous designers in the US scene. The livery is characterized by a chromatic explosion displayed with ostentatious irreverence with a dominance of yellow, red, dark green and aqua green. There is also plenty of space for a mix of materials such as metal, plastic, velvet and rubber. There Spring (Red), however, has the entire bodywork painted red, including the wheel rims.

Finally, the Vespa Racing Sixties is a series inspired by the racing world, in which the races of the riders of the Sixties are evoked. They feature new graphics contrasting with the bodywork, characterized by an elegant sportiness.
