There will be many new features that will be presented atEICMA from 7 to 12 November. Many will concern motorcycles and scooters, but at the International Cycle and Motorcycle Exhibition there will also be space for non-motorised two-wheelers. This year an entire area, created in collaboration with BikeUP, will be dedicated to electric bikes and the most important Italian and international innovations in the sector. An entire one is available to the public track where to test e-bikes: 1000 meters long, with a climb of 170 meters and a difference in altitude of 8%. In short, a great opportunity to try and fully appreciate the qualities of electric bicycles.

The external track simulates a real route and will make EICMA visitors appreciate the considerable potential of the pedal-assisted bike, especially on tiring and demanding routes. The currently most widespread segment among e-bikes is the E-Mountain Bike (e-mtb) which represents approximately 60% of sales in Italy.

Electric pedal mobility boasts numbers with 3-digit growth, which demonstrate how the trend is traveling hand in hand with a growing interest in the electric world of cycles, in Europe and in Italy, on the part of users. In fact, during 2016, 124.400 e-bikes were purchased in Italy (120% more than a year earlier): in practice, the Italians who purchased an electric bike last year correspond to the inhabitants of a city such as: Bergamo, Trento, Pescara or Syracuse.
