EICMA 2022: the international exhibition once again achieves ISO 20121 certification

THEEICMA, the international two-wheel exhibition, received the award for the third consecutive year ISO 20121 certification da TÜV NORD Italy. For those who don't know, this is an international standard for sustainable event management.

The recognition was delivered yesterday evening to Peter Meda – president of EICMA SpA, Paul Magri – CEO, e James Casartelli – director of the event.

The path towards obtaining ISO 20121 certification took into consideration the impact characteristics in the planning and organization of the event, also with the aim of involving and influencing all stakeholders.

Three exhibitors were also awarded

The EICMA, Right Hub and PLEF (Planet Life Economy Foundation ETS) evaluators awarded three exhibitors, among the various companies applying, the Sustainable Exhibitor Award EICMA 2022, the new initiative introduced by this edition to actively involve all exhibitors. The award was awarded to Cake 0 Emission AB, SBS Friction A/S and SST Srl

The sustainable management of EICMA 2022 it also concerns energy efficiency, the health and safety of workers involved throughout the organization, accessibility to the event for people with disabilities and the fight against food waste with the collection of surpluses produced during the event.

"EICMA is a path of responsibility, which also becomes a strategic asset for our business and a source of inspiration for our exhibitors and visitors. A commitment to sustainability, which goes hand in hand with that of the two-wheel industry that we represent and which places the event as a reference in this area,” the president said.
