What's new on Vespa GTS

For 2019 the entire Vespa GTS range gets even better, introducing a series of updates that increase its performance, comfort and style. The new Vespa GTS range, very rich in standard equipment, now consists of five versions: Vespa GTS, GTS Touring, GTS Super, GTS SuperSport and the brand new, technological Vespa GTS SuperTech, with color TFT display that makes the most of connectivity with the smartphone through the VESPA MIA system. Two engines are available: the already well-known and appreciated single-cylinder 125 i-get is now joined by the new 300 hpe engine (High Performance Engine), the most recent result of the Piaggio Group's engine technology, aimed at creating increasingly advanced and efficient engines in terms of containing emissions and consumption. Compared to the previous version, the maximum power reaches the value of 23,8 HP at 8250 rpm, which translates into an increase of 12%, while the maximum torque, equal to 26 Nm at 5250 rpm, has increased by 18%. Improvements that are accompanied by a significant reduction in consumption, with mileage going from 29,4 km/l to 31 km/l in the WMTC cycle. The 125 i-get engine, on the other hand, has a power of 9 kW at 8250 rpm. A fact which, translated onto the road, testifies to a brilliant engine, expressly designed and created with the user's needs in mind in daily use in city and metropolitan environments. Driving situations characterized by frequent "stop and go" which require elasticity, brilliance in recovery and smooth running. Qualities ensured by the excellent torque value (11,1 Nm at 6750 rpm) which allows the Vespa GTS excellent shooting qualities from standstill and recovery. All this with a mileage on the WMTC cycle of 40 km/l.

The front features a redesigned shield, in the center of which is incorporated the unmistakable "tie", elongated and embellished with three friezes. Also new are the shapes of the handlebars, the chrome crest on the front mudguard, the rear-view mirrors and the grilles on the sides of the shield, characterized by a new honeycomb motif. At the rear, the restyling involved the side panels that run under the bodies, while the versions powered by the 300 hpe engine stand out for a new engine crankcase cover and a new design of the exhaust silencer cover.
