EICMA 2018 | Niu: three innovations to conquer the European market

NIU – It's not just the great super sports cars that are showing off at EICMA. Vehicles designed for urban mobility also find ample space at the Milanese event, such as those from Niu which in Milan presented a series of innovations designed in collaboration with Bosch, Panasonic and Vodafone, with the aim of creating the new generation of smart electric scooters , designed to meet the needs of European consumers.

Niu enters the B2B market with the N-Sharing model

The N-Sharing scooter has the same characteristics as the N series, but is equipped with dual Panasonic 60V 29Ah batteries, which combined reach an output of 3.48 KW. NIU's software is optimized to work with the best fleet management programs on the market, including Fleetbird, Invers and Vulog. Since 2017, NIU has taken part in numerous sharing projects in collaboration with various companies in different countries and cities around the world, such as GoUrban in Vienna, Movo by Cabify in Madrid and Scooty by Europcar in Brussels and Antwerp. NIU continues to support the sharing economy globally through targeted partnerships and its smart technologies. The NGT and M+ models were launched on the Indiegogo.com platform with NIU's first global pre-sale campaign. NGT and M+ have a Bosch motor, 3.000 watts and 1.200 watts respectively and reach a maximum speed of 70km/h which allows you to drive in the city for a week with a range of 100km on a single charge. The price, reduced compared to 2019, is 2.299 and 3.999 euros respectively.

Niu UPro: lightness and reliability

Compared to the N and M series, UPro sports a simpler design and a lightweight chassis of just 60kg, ideal for urban users. UPro is the smartest version of NIU, it integrates an 800 watt Bosch motor, keyless ignition, engine block and a removable and ultra-light (5kg) Panasonic lithium battery. UPro is available in four colors: red, blue, white and black at a price of 1.899 euros. Niu also revealed UPro's little brother, the U-Mini (UM). Designed for the younger generations, UM weighs only 39kg and allows for a "lighter" and "freer" driving experience, giving rise to a truly eco-sustainable lifestyle. With the same features and battery as UPro, UM is the perfect meeting point between a scooter and an electric bike thanks to the innovative pedals: the fixed pedal and the one for driving, in fact, can be interchanged at will. UM is available in China in 5 colours, but marketing will soon also open to foreign markets.

The NIU N-Cargo arrives at EICMA

The latest scooter presented by NIU on the occasion of EICMA 2018 is N-Cargo, a revisited version of the N series and designed to meet the needs of a constantly growing market such as that of home deliveries. Equipped with a specially designed reinforced boot, N-Cargo allows you to reach the right speed and guarantees the performance necessary to meet the needs of the home distribution industry. “This is the first time that NIU presents its entire range during a single event in Europe.
