EICMA 2018 | Dainese brings the new D-Air range

Dainese Group - The Dainese Group presents EICMA the third generation of the D-air airbag, a line of products for racing, road use and finally also for the female public. The Vicenza brand has also decided to exhibit Explorer, the collection designed for Adventure and Road touring. AGV presents the new AX9 helmet and the new graphics of the Legends line.

The 2019 D-air range sees the debut of the third generation of the Dainese airbag, improved in ergonomics and effectiveness. The bag and the algorithm are specifically designed based on the intended use, taking into account the different activation dynamics and the most exposed areas of the body. The new one arrives for use on the track Misano 2 D-air, professional cowhide suit. The airbag system debuts on some of the most iconic Dainese products for road use, from the divisible suit Avro D-air, to the leather jacket Racing 3 D-air, Carve Master 2 D-air, Gore-Tex garment dedicated to sport touring. The top of the range completes the collection Thunder D-air. Specific garments for the female public are arriving for the first time, such as the Misano 2 Lady D-air®, the first professional women's leather suit equipped with an airbag, Avro Lady D-air and the jacket Racing 3 Lady D-air. Lady products faithfully reflect all the characteristics of the men's airbag, such as the bag, characterized by internal microfilaments and covered by 27 patents.

The microfilaments are the distinctive feature of the D-air bag, the heart of the system: a feature that prevents deformation and guarantees controlled inflation, pressure and homogeneous protection over the entire surface. Thanks to continually evolving studies and the analysis of over 2000 activations, the D-air system bag is designed to cover only the areas of the body where protection is really necessary, in such a way as to find the perfect balance between safety and ergonomics , ensured by a system that is 37% lighter than the previous version. The airbag is now better integrated into the garments and totally invisible, and guarantees a level of comfort equal to that of a traditional jacket.

Dainese also brings to EICMA Discover, the new touring collection born from the experience with MIT for the development of spacesuits, analyzing, studying and mapping the lines of non-extension: areas of the body that neither compress nor stretch, whatever the movement. This knowledge guarantees unparalleled lightness and comfort. These garments were created with the aim of protecting the rider and passenger from the harshest climates and the most adverse weather conditions. The Antartica suit represents Explorer's flagship model and embodies the principles of protection, comfort and style applied to the Adventure world, offering exceptional insulation from external temperatures and atmospheric agents. Antartica is joined by Gran Turismo, designed for road touring and designed for spending long days in the saddle, without making the ride burdensome thanks to a superior fit. With Explorer it is presented AGV AX9, the new helmet that, together with Sportmodular, completes the AGV touring range. AX9 was born as a helmet for long journeys and from this world it draws top-of-the-category comfort, high-quality interiors and an advanced ventilation system. The composite fiber shell allows the AX9 to establish itself as one of the lightest helmets in its segment. Together with the touring line, the Pista GP R and Corsa R, at the top of the racing range, are on display, as well as all the new liveries of the Legends X3000 and X70.
