EICMA 2017: more space for electric with the e-bike area
Dedicated space and 1000 meter track for test rides created in collaboration with BikeUP
The world of sustainable mobility and electric bicyclesand is arousing more and more interest, it is no coincidence that in 2016 in Italy, the sale of e-bikes underwent a increase of 120% compared to 2015, reaching 124 e-bikes sold last year.
EICMA was born as an international exhibition of cycles, motorcycles and accessories in 1914 in Milan, accompanying the history of two wheels and the country for over 100 years, thus becoming the World Motorcycle Exhibition.
Given the greater interest from the public and the press towards e-bikes, EICMA has decided to renew the collaboration with BikeUP, an industry-leading partner who first created a European festival entirely focused on e-Bike.
This year there will be one space entirely dedicated to the world of electric two-wheelers and will be placed alongside one external track for test rides, a track that will boast 1000 meters of linear length and a climb of 170 meters with an average gradient of 8%.
