It's called V-Strom 1000, and it is the new evolution of Suzuki's Sport Enduro Tourer, born under the cry of "Passion drives".

The new born, presented this afternoon by Giorgio Canizzari, director of service at Suzuki Italia, is the first of its family to be fitted with ABS as standard, as further driving support.

For the past 11 years on the motorcycling scene, the V-STROM 1000 ABS presents itself as a completely new motorbike, starting from the engine, completely redesigned and which now boasts 1037cm3 against the 998cm3 of the previous series, a power of 74 kW and 101 HP .
The maximum torque of 103Nm is delivered at a lower rpm than the previous model.

A fundamental aspect of these times concerns consumption, which is reduced to 21km/l, also thanks to the reduction of 6 kg on the total weight of the vehicle, declared to be 228 kg.

Great news also on the rideability and structure front of the bike:
-the frame is made of aluminium, more rigid
-The suspensions are fully adjustable, the rear in particular through a special lever, which therefore does not require any type of auxiliary equipment
-Traction control is standard, can be set to three maps and is derived directly from MotoGP, as is the ABS system.
-The transmission has been completely redesigned, the sixth gear has been lengthened and everything is accompanied by an anti-hopping system.
-The motorbike is equipped with 17" tires at the rear and 19" at the front.

Last but not least, for those planning long trips, a series of accessories such as bags and cases have also been designed, which accompany the motorbike without ruining its shape.
