EICMA 2013: Continental ContiRoadAttack 2 EVO and ContiMilestone

More traction, wet safety and durability for the new Continentals

Evolution, this is the guideline adopted by Continental for ContiRoadAttack 2, no upheavals. The German company's sport-touring tire was already a high-performance product and now, thanks to this "EVOlutive" step improves the already excellent handling characteristics thanks to a targeted series of measures. ContiRoadAttack 2 EVO is about to be launched on the market and will be available in seven sizes.

EVO brings improved traction and grip on wet and slippery surfaces, using a compound called “Rain grip” completely new and a tread designed to increase water drainage. The "sport" side of RoadAttack2 is unchanged, or rather, refined, offering technology to lean lovers. “Multi Grip” which guarantees a homogeneous grip coefficient from the center to the shoulder of the tire and offers exceptional grip when cornering and generous mileage; the 0° steel cable spiraling gives stability at high speed and very low tendency to "kick-back".

Technology closes the circle “Traction Skin”: micro roughness surface processing which ensures a short and extremely safe initial run-in. During development, Korbach's R&D department also worked on optimizing and adapting the ContiRoadAttack 2 EVO to the needs of electronic driver assistance systems, such as traction control (TC), electronic chassis control and ABS.

The tire dedicated to cruiser and custom motorbikes has also been substantially revised by German technicians. ContiMilestone now has new measures, of a new tread and a new casing called breaker. This new type of construction allows for an increase in tread rigidity while ensuring greater mileage and the same level of grip even in the wet. From today ContiMilestone is available for Harley Davidson Sportster, Dyna, Touring and CVO models. In particular, the white band version underlines its original character with a retro nuance.
