Eicma 2012 – Here is the range of Star 4T scooters by LML

Entirely designed and created by LML, the new engine of Star 4T (125cc, 151cc and 200cc), is characterized by the single-shaft horizontal single-cylinder with two valves, the forced air cooling system and a 4-speed manual gearbox with electric and pedal start. Its innovative technology translates into greater fluidity while driving and record-breaking performance, with a maximum power of 5.84 KW at 6000 Rpm for the 125cc variant, 6.75 KW at 6250 Rpm for the 151cc version and with a maximum power of 8,6 kW at 6250 Rpm for the 200 cc version.

The frame of the Star 4T, in all its engines, is characterized by an innovative structure in electro-welded steel tubes which thus strengthens the pre-existing monocoque configuration and guarantees torsional rigidity 7 times higher than a classic monocoque frame. The possibility of positioning the engine in a more central strategic point, with the adoption of an engine support equipped with a silent-block for the frame-engine connection, makes the structure of the Star 4T much more robust, more stable and less subject to oscillations and vibrations.

The aesthetics – LML has paid particular attention to the design such as for the indicators, where the application support is greater and the chrome plating is optimised, or for the saddle made with different material, in favor of comfort and an even more vintage look. But also for the safety aspect, providing some details such as the front light, with an internal reflector for greater brightness thanks to a more powerful and visible light beam, as well as for the rear brake light, with greater lighting power and the addition of the reflector on the splash guard. Even the instrument panel has been enriched with a warning light in place neutral, the neutral condition of the gearbox and one for the brakes which lights up when the rear and/or front brake are activated.

The engine– The totally new 4-stroke engine is the protagonist of a unique scooter in its category. Available in three displacements 125cc, 151cc and 200cc. The mechanical part of the new Star 4T 200cc represents the most interesting technological aspect of the "queen" of the 4-stroke range with an engine made from 3 easily dismantled crankcases and with a different weight arrangement . The positioning of the load more distributed on the front axle transforms the set-up of the scooter, offering a balanced and compact ride and an innovative sensation that the driver of the Star 4T 200cc cannot escape. The new 200 cc engine, which allows high performance at high and low rpm, is equipped with a series of catalysts and an innovative secondary air system that make it Euro 3. The FAST (Flexible Air Suction) air intake system Technology), which makes the engine unique, was created with a flexible rubber duct mounted on the filter box which moves together with the engine, avoiding clogging of the air filter and thus obtaining greater engine performance. Respect for the environment and low consumption are guaranteed by the Euro 3 engine, which allows you to travel up to 60 km* with 1 liter for the 125 cc and 151 cc versions and 50 km* with 1 liter for the 200 cc, with minimal emissions of CO2 and very low maintenance costs, respecting the environment.

Brake and clutch system– In the 125cc and 151cc versions, a new suspension calibration, with greater power of the rear brake and the front disc brake, allows a stopping distance reduced by 50%, together with a sporty design of the 5-spoke hub which gives this model remarkable driving stability and undisputed safety. In the 200cc version the rear braking system has been strengthened by adopting longer shoes and a new operating system for them. On the rear drum there is a hole, with a special closing cap, for inspecting the wear of the jaws and their periodic cleaning. The clutch of the Star 4T 200cc has been completely redesigned, with innovative discs and bell, equipped with a pressure disc with ball bearings and 5 cork ducts and 4 conductors, allowing for high maneuverability in use and changing gears. The Star 4T comes with a wide choice of versions and colors starting from €2390 for the 200cc version, starting from €2000 for the 125cc version and starting from €2150 for the 151cc. Prices include the spare wheel, mirrors and chrome grips.
