Eicma 2010, Suzuki Crosscage concept – live photo

The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki brought a project from a few years ago back on stage at Eicma 2010, the Suzuki Crosscage. The Milan Motor Show, in fact, is not the first occasion on which the manufacturer from the Land of the Rising Sun shows this two-wheeled concept to the public: to date Crosscage it is necessary to go back to 2006, the year in which the project apparently started, which, later, it was exhibited at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. Since then, the motorcycle manufacturer's effort to find a main road towards ecology, without compromising the characteristics of the world of saddles, has not stopped.

And here we are, in the first week of November 2010, at the fair in Rho Pero. Although protected by a transparent barrier, the Suzuki Crosscage concept is easily recognizable by the frame made with a single crossed tube in the shape of the letter "X" (hence crosscage). But also for the line so tapered, so muscular, so massive, which makes you forget that you are looking at an ecological motorbike.

Ecology? Yes, because Suzuki Crosscage is the motorcycle company's study to test the effect of hydrogen on the world of two wheels. Crosscage, in 2007 as today, is equipped with hydrogen fuel cells, which produce electricity, which is stored in a lithium ion battery. We're not sure that there really is a future for Suzuki Crosscage and some other similar products, but it's nice to know that someone is thinking about it... And you, how do you judge this Suzuki project?
