Eicma 2010, Honda Crossrunner – live photo

“The Crossrunner offers the best of two genres of motorcycling: it has the flexibility and sporty riding attitude of a high-performance naked, balanced by the upright ride and rugged look of an adventure bike.” This is how the official press release from the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer introduces the new motorcycle presented at the Milan Motor Show. Honda Crossrunner wants to fit into the exact middle of the distance between naked and adventure bikes. We understand: when the word "cross" is involved, but also to cross, we must expect, from Honda, a new, revolutionary concept, a mixture of different ideas, of even distant worlds, sometimes, as happened for Honda Mid Concept. But that's another story.

The new Honda Crossrunner is equipped with an engine of 782 cubic centimeters of displacement, four cylinders arranged in a V with an angle of 90° (therefore wider than that of the new Honda Crosstourer), liquid cooling, 16 valves (four per cylinder), 100 horsepower at 10.000 rpm and 72,8 Nm of maximum torque at 9.500 rpm.

Do you want to know the salient features of this new Honda Crossrunner? Riding position as natural as that of a naked bike and comfortable as that of an adventure, high and wide handlebars, easy to reach and leave passenger seat, partially digital adjustable instrumentation, Honda VTEC valve timing system, aluminum double-spar frame , 43 mm HMAS front cartridge fork, Pro-Arm rear single-sided swingarm in die-cast aluminum and Pro-Link technology, HMAS rear shock absorber, ABS safety device as standard. There are three color combinations for the external bodywork of the new Honda Crossrunner: Graphite Black-Moonstone Silver Metallic, Pearl Fadeless White-Bullet Silver Metallic and Candy Blazing Red-Moonstone Silver Metallic.
