Eicma 2010, Honda CBR250R – live photo
Alongside the Honda CBR125R Model Year 2011, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has expanded the CBR family with an intermediate power range, which can act as a bridge between the entry-level version we have already talked about and the larger Honda CBR600RR. The debut venue, also for this quarter-litre, is Eicma 2010, the motorcycle event at the fair in Rho Pero, Milan. The new road two-wheeler combines the same versatility of the faired sports range with the same angular pencil of the new Honda CBR125R.
The Japanese motorcycle is equipped with a liquid-cooled engine of 249,4 cubic centimeters of displacement, equipped with a single cylinder, four valves and four-stroke operation. The new Honda CBR250R has 26 horsepower at 8.500 rpm and 22,9 Nm of maximum torque at 7.000 rpm. The chassis is made up of a double-spar steel frame with 37 mm telescopic fork and Pro-Link type rear suspension and mono-shock absorber.
The standard equipment at the time of purchase is conspicuous, as is the case with its larger sisters: a refined brake system (the new Honda CBR250R is equipped with a 296 mm front disc with double piston caliper and a 220 mm rear disc with single-piston caliper), instrumentation with multifunction digital panel, comfortable saddle placed at 784 millimeters from the ground, weight limited to (162,8 kilograms) and 17-inch tyres. The new Honda CBR250R will be offered in two different colors: Asteroid Black Metallic and Pearl Blue (in three colors).
