Ducati Diavel: the name of the baddest of Borgo Panigale's roadsters. Eicma: the name of the stage for the first contact with the brutal naked. These are the official images of the sports car without fairing or dress from the Italian motorcycle manufacturer. Accompanied, as one might imagine, by the first information. Everything that hides under that slightly rough, slightly harsh, slightly raw appearance, suitable for those who don't care about aesthetics and who want to dominate the road without too much elegance and generosity, here it is.

Under the fuel tank, the new Ducati Diavel hides (not even much: the engine seems to protrude from the frame) an 11° Testastretta engine which comes from another motorcycle in the manufacturer's range, Ducati Multistrada, and which in this specific case comes to deliver 162 horsepower and 127 Nm of maximum torque, with a dry weight of 210 kilograms. The Borgo Panigale technicians have worked to make the Diavel easy to handle, although the shape suggests the opposite: steering with a wide radius and high ground clearance.

Other data on the technical equipment? Of course: the new Ducati Diavel is equipped with a 50 mm Marzocchi front fork, rear monoshock, Brembo brake system with monobloc caliper, 240 mm rear tire, Ducati Traction Control device, ABS safety system and Ducati Ride-by-Wire system ( which includes Sport mode, Touring mode, with a more linear delivery, and Urban mode, which lowers power to 100 horsepower). And there are numerous liveries for the external appearance: they range from the two-tone red-black combination (Red Carbon, with matt black), which makes the entire surface even more aggressive, to the two-tone grey-red combination (Rosso Ducati), almost duller than the previous one, going from white tout court (Pearl White) and the Black Carbon version (black on matt black).

The key is electronic: you approach your Diavel, press the button and the ignition and then the engine turn on. The lighting is LED for most of the indicators on the sporty naked. The LCD screen is completed, on the 17 liter tank, by a touch-screen. The price of the new Ducati Diavel? Two versions available: Ducati Diavel, whose price will be around 16.000 and 17.000 euros, and Ducati Diavel Carbon, with bodywork elements in carbon fiber and forged Marchesini alloy wheels, whose price will be around 19.000 and 20.000 approximately euros.
