EBR 1190 RX, a super sports car for the return of Buell

The recipe for the Buell revival?? Erik Buell himself and a huge injection of "Indian" liquidity, that's it. Or rather, the bike is made and called EBR 1190 RX where the creator's name is all in the acronym, with a style that recalls, without excess, the Buell past (at Harley Davidson), including the powerful V-Twin Rotax 1190 cc. This bike is already prominent in the AMA Superbike championship - in the RS version - and brings much of the technology it contains to the road version.

It's a Buell there's no doubt about it, the more you look at it the more you like it unmistakable traits of the American House emerge. Small, compact bike, angular style with few curves, thin race-ready tail. That 386 mm front perimeter disc it is a real signature, bitten by a caliper with 8 pistons, to which specific cooling ducts have been added! The windshield is very similar to the one already seen on the Buell 1125R, but here the headlight is single and vertical, the look is decidedly belligerent.

The frame is an aluminum structure, rather substantial in shape given the presence of the in its cavities fuel tank for a total of 17 litres. The 72° V-twin engine delivers 185 hp of power at 10.600 rpm and 138 Nm of torque maximum at 8.200 rpm; the weight/power ratio, very close to "unity", demonstrates the potential of this made in the USA superbike. To manage this large power reserve there is a traction control with 21 modes of operation. The exhaust has a nice "black" look, a vent that originates in two pipes from the lower part of the motorbike (where the catalyst is located) rises upwards and meets in a small silencer. The entire suspension department is Showa, at the front there is a BPF (Big Piston Fork), at the back a mono that works without the interposition of linkages.

The bike will arrive in Europe soon and for now we only know that in the States it costs the equivalent of 14.000 euros. The colors will be red, black and yellow.
