The evolution of mobility towards ever greater sustainability is the focus of the sixth edition of e_mob,eMobility Festival scheduled to Milano between days 1 e 4 October 2022.

The news

The city of Milan is one of the liveliest Italian metropolises in promoting alternative forms of mobility, recalling for example the creation of new cycle paths or 30 zones. Various environmental projects are envisaged, ranging from the introduction of three million trees, to 100% electric public transport. A preview of the future Milan is expected in e_mob in the streets between Piazza Duomo and Piazzale Cordusio, animated with e-bike, scooters and other electric vehicles. Also remember the National Electric Mobility Conference of the 3 e 4 October at Palazzo dei Giureconsulti, organized by the Promoting Committee: A2A, ATM, Class Onlus, Cobat and Enel X Way.

On the occasion of the National Electric Mobility Conference, on the institutional day of 3 October, a dialogue is planned between the e_mob community and the heads of the institutions to discuss proposals and solutions on the ecological transition linked to mobility. An in-depth analysis of the opportunities associated with the PNRR is envisaged, also talking about the provisions to be introduced in the next Budget Law. Other insights are also expected in the afternoon and at the end of the institutional day the formal signature by the political representatives present of the e_mob 2022 charter, which includes the measures to be adopted to encourage decarbonisation in the transport sector.

Another interesting day of scientific study is that of 4 October, organized and coordinated by the e_mob Scientific Committee with eight workshops focused on issues relating to the electrification of the logistics sector, company fleets, vehicles for carrying out public utility services and of public road transport, nautical and air navigation. Two specific spaces are planned for functional mobility hubs for intermodality and charging infrastructure through the analysis of the evolution of the regulatory framework and tariffs. Just as in-depth studies are expected on new professions within a framework of sustainable mobility and in light of a changing labor market, as well as on the sustainability of the end of life of electric vehicles with the presentation of the Italian Platform for the Circular Economy (ICESP) and the Italian project for a second life of batteries. The program ends with a review of the best international practices of eco-sustainable mobility: the smart cities of the United Kingdom, the concessions to public transport in Spain and the development of soft mobility in the Netherlands, as reported.
