La Suzuka 8 Hours is one of the most interesting events of FIM Endurance World Championship, returned after 3 years of waiting in the series calendar. Dunlop supports teams in Formula EWC and also in the Superstock category.

The news

Dunlop and the teams have already tested the track at the beginning of the week, during the test sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday. Free practice, qualifying and night practice are scheduled for Friday, before a final qualifying session for the top ten classified on the agenda on Saturday afternoon. The departure of 43rd Suzuka 8 Hours is scheduled for Sunday August 7th at 11:30 local time, 04:30 for Central Europe.
This race is different from the other three events of the EWC season, because it is the only one that does not last 24 hours and it is also the only one held outside Europe. This historic event features several valuable Japanese teams, together with well-known talents from the Old Continent.
Teams using Dunlop can count on a varied range of tyres, including compounds from KR racing slick range, KR109 at the front and KR108 at the rear, together with a series of prototype solutions developed for the top teams. Engaging at the highest level in series such as the EWC allows Dunlop to study and evaluate the next generation of tires in a high-value context.
Dunlop offers tires to ten teams fighting for overall success and to a further six Superstock teams. Notable teams include Webike SRC Kawasaki France and the winner at the 24H SPA EWC Motos BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team.
Various Japanese teams have also chosen Dunlop tyres, including those using BMW, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha motorcycles. Among the teams supported in Superstock are the TERAMOTO@J-TRIP Racing Suzuki with Nobuatsu Aoki, Grand Prix rider of the 90s/00s and the TONE RT SYNCEDGE 4413 BMW with Shinichi Nakatomi, ex of the WSBK.
