Ducati World Premiere: the Multistrada grows and becomes the 1260

Ducati World Premiere Multistrada 1260 – For 2018, Ducati presented the new Multistrada 2017 during the Ducati World Premiere preceding EICMA 1260.

A great innovation for next year's market, created to combine comfort with performance. Compared to the previous model, the new Multistrada 1260s is equipped with a larger 1262 cm3 engine. The new engine is a Ducati Testastretta DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing) characterized by a "flat" torque curve, full at medium revs, to best adapt to "touring", but at the same time capable of great performance at high speeds.

All the technological details have been taken care of, it is equipped with a very high resolution dashboard, through which it is possible to select different maps for the set up and, furthermore, through a smartphone App, it is possible to download and share the bike's telemetry data .

Compared to the "old" version, the new Multistrada 1260 features numerous small design updates such as: new side wings and sporty design wheels. It is also equipped with a modified chassis, more stable at other speeds.

The new Multistrada will be available in two variants: the S and the Pikes Peak.

The “S” is equipped with semi-active suspensions and the SD|Air system, a device that interacts with the jacket equipped with an airbag, while the Pikes Peak is a sports version, characterized by Öhlins suspensions and forged aluminum wheels .
