Another important recognition of Ducati style and design. An unprecedented version of the Café Racer won first place in the "Motorcycle Design - Concept Bike and Newly Conceived Prototypes" class at the prestigious Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, held in Cernobbio, on Lake Como. Built on a Ducati Scrambler base, this concept was created by the Ducati Design Center, directed by Andrea Ferraresi. The Café Racer also wins the “Trofeo Villa Erba”, the public award which was awarded for the first time this year.

The style concept of the Café Racer is characterized by modern and taut lines, thanks to minimal superstructures completely made of aluminium, which leave the mechanics of the Scrambler from which it derives visible. The LED headlights have a new design, as do the "bobber" style spoked wheels, the low exhaust and the handmade saddle. Ducati was also present at Villa d'Este with another concept, again on a Scrambler basis, but dedicated to the Desert Sled world. This proposal also received much approval, so much so that it won third place, again in the "Motorcycle Design - Concept Bike and New Concept Prototypes" class.

The Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, organized for the first time in 1929, is the most exclusive and tradition-rich beauty contest for vintage cars and motorcycles in the world. In addition to the categories reserved for cars of the past, with the “Concept Cars and Prototypes” class it also gives a look at the future of the two and four wheel sector.
