Ducati – Troy Bayliss, the three-time World Superbike Champion, took some time to visit the Ducati production facility in Thailand. The Ducati Motor Thailand plant in Rayong occupies a covered area of 22.000 square meters and is capable of assembling and producing all models in the current Ducati range.

Troy Bayliss met with many of the employees, signing autographs and posing for some photos, after a weekend of racing which saw the Ducati rider achieve an 8th and 11th place in the first race held in Thailand in the history of the Superbike World Championship. “Upon my arrival at the structure, I was impressed by its size and absolute modernity", commented Troy Bayliss. “It was fantastic to visit the production lines and see the Scramblers being assembled. I also enjoyed meeting the workforce, they are all so enthusiastic and efficient".

"It was a fantastic opportunity to be able to visit the Thai factory. It is an incredible plant, with impressive space organization and production efficiency. It was also nice to realize that the employees of Ducati Motor Thailand demonstrate the same passion and pride for the brand that animates the workers of Borgo Panigale, in Bologna", he added Paul Ciabatti, Sports Director of Ducati Corse and MotoGP Project Director, who accompanied Bayliss inside the Ducati factory.

Pierfrancesco Scalzo, Director of Sales and Marketing Ducati Asia, underlined how the Rayong plant is very important for the local economy and wanted to thank the two members of the Racing team of the Borgo Panigale brand for being able to visit a strategic place for Ducati production. “We are honored that Troy and Paolo, always very busy, wanted to take some time today to visit our Ducati Motor Thailand facility. Here in Asia, we have managed to recreate the same extraordinary Ducati experience that we offer in Italy, and the staff is driven by the same incredible passion. Today's visit is a tribute to that passion and demonstrates the importance Ducati places on this promising region of the world".

Troy Bayliss and Paolo Ciabatti will stop in Thailand to also visit the Ducati stand at the Bangkok International Motorshow.
