Ducati Super Sport – The Ducati SuperSport is the most beautiful motorcycle of EICMA 2016. At the conclusion of the 74th edition of the Milanese event dedicated to motorcycles, it was the public, who animated and crowded the pavilions of the Milan-Rho International Fair for five days, who decreed the absolute queen among the many motorbikes on display. The result is the result of the survey "Vote and win the most beautiful motorbike of the Show", organized by the Italian magazine Motociclismo. Now in its twelfth edition this year, the survey saw Ducati come out on top eight times (winning the last four editions consecutively) with bikes that, since their first appearance at the fair, have set a new benchmark in the international motorcycling scene.

Over 12.000 enthusiasts expressed their preference and the SuperSport was the most voted motorcycle both by visitors to the Fair and by users of the "Motociclismo" website. The new Ducati road sports car took first place with an advantage over the second place of 13,2% of the total votes. The votes received were counted on Sunday 13 November, the final day of the Show, at the "Motociclismo" stand, in front of a large audience and in the presence of Caterina Tartufari, (Project Manager of EICMA), Piero Bacchetti (President and CEO of Edisport Editorial), Federico Aliverti, (Director of “Motociclismo”) and Julien Clement (Senior Designer at the Ducati Style Center and designer of SuperSport) who received the award representing the Bolognese motorcycle manufacturer. The award ceremony for the "Most Beautiful Motorcycle of the Show" was the last act of an intense week of exhibitions and events which saw record influxes such as to lead to an increase in the total number of visitors to EICMA compared to 2015.

The Ducati SuperSport is designed for those who love a sport-inspired motorcycle, but capable of offering comfort and ease of use on everyday roads. A fun, versatile motorbike, with the look and soul of a true Ducati sports car. An accessible road sports car thanks to its ease of riding, the active safety offered by the Ducati Safety Pack (Bosch ABS + Ducati Traction Control) and the high value of its equipment, in relation to the price, combined with long maintenance intervals. The SuperSport is equipped with the 11 cm³ Testastretta 937° twin-cylinder engine, which delivers 113 HP and a full, linear torque curve. Thanks to the three Riding Modes (Sport, Touring and Urban), the character of the SuperSport adapts to offer maximum fun in all conditions. Agile in the city, comfortable on the motorway and effective around the curves of outdoor routes, the SuperSport is definitely a versatile motorbike. The comfortable riding position for rider and passenger, the aerodynamic protection ensured by the height-adjustable plexiglass and the good autonomy guaranteed by the 16-litre tank also make the new Ducati sports car a fun travel companion on medium-length journeys.

The SuperSport range also includes the SuperSport S version, equipped with fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, Ducati Quick Shift up/down and passenger seat cover; the latter contents are however also available, as accessories, for the SuperSport. Since the first day of opening, the public has crowded the Ducati stand. Seven great innovations presented, five of which for Ducati (from the exclusive and hyper-technological 1299 Superleggera, moving on to the two new Monster 797 and 1200, then the new Multistrada 950 and, obviously the SuperSport), and two for Scrambler (the Desert Sled and the Cafè Racer). Seven new dream motorbikes that played a leading role in this Milanese event, the 74th EICMA edition.
