Ducati SuperSport 950: an aerodynamic design [VIDEO]

In a film proposed online by Ducati, the striking and refined features of the new one can be observed Ducati Super Sport 950, seen from various angles.

Functional design

The bike is covered in a color scheme “Ducati Red” and in the S version in “Ducati Red” e “Arctic White Silk”, as well as passenger seat cover and adjustable Öhlins suspension with dedicated set-up.
A sporty model but designed to be used daily on the road. The design is distinctive and a certain link with the powerful Panigale V4 shines through. Among the connotative aspects, both the full-LED front light unit with DRL and the fairings which accentuate the visual performance stand out.

Sportiness and functionality

The motorbike has a trellis frame and the engine acts as a load-bearing element, in order to contain weight and dimensions. A single-sided swingarm is also reported and the dry weight amounts to 184 kg. Also highlighted is a saddle with new padding and a flatter shape then, according to the indications, the height of the semi-handlebars allows a sporty riding position without excessive load on the wrists and the footrests are arranged so as not to tire the knees .
The Ducati Testastretta drive unit is twin-cylinder and homologated Euro 5. The maximum power reaches 110 horses at 9.000 rpm and the peak of torque 93 Nm at 6.500 rpm. The model is also available in a weakened version for license holders A2.
The instrumentation is visible on a 4,3-inch full-TFT screen with graphics that include a highlighted round tachometer and an indication of the gear engaged and other information in the centre. The interface allows navigation between the different items, therefore identification of the chosen Riding Mode and adjustment of the settings. The new clutch control is hydraulic and the lever can be managed at a distance from the handlebar. The electronic package includes ABS Cornering, traction control, wheelie control, electronic gearbox and Sport, Touring and Urban Riding Modes.
