Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP2: a new example of sporting essence [PHOTO]

A bold look and “SP” specifications are distinctive aspects of Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP2, the new pinnacle of “Fight Formula” Ducati for the 2023.

Recognizable style

Together with the new ones Ducati Street Fighter V4 e Streetfighter V4 S, model SP2 completes the new range of high-performance sports naked bikes. This is a numbered variant, recognizable by a livery “Winter Test” designed by the Ducati Style Center which refers to the Ducati Corse bikes used in pre-season tests. The superstructures are covered with a matt black shade and the vision is enlivened by the visual contrast obtained by the presence of bright red details, by the brilliance of the exposed aluminum tank, a contrast also reproduced by the side covers of the radiators, in addition to the matt finish of the carbon of the wings and rims.

Technical aspects

The motorcycle is equipped with Ohlins suspension which feature springs and hydraulics similar to what was seen on the Panigale V4 and the equipment includes a carbon front mudguard, accompanying elements that can be used during track days on the track, such as the cap for removing the license plate holder and the screws to remove the mirrors and the open carbon clutch cover, as well as adjustable aluminum footrests machined from solid material which favor the lean angle and allow the rider to find the ideal position.
From a technical point of view, the Brembo Stylema R® front braking calipers, so you have constant stopping power and performance when you ride for a long time on the track. There are also five-spoke split carbon rims, less heavy than 1,4 kg compared to the forged aluminum ones placed on the Streetfighter V4 S model, obtaining a reduction in the moment of inertia of 26% at the front and 46% in the rear area.

Thruster

The engine Desmosedici Stradale 1.103 cc the calibration has been revised based on the larger diameter of the silencer outlet and on the right side there is the clutch crankcase of the Panigale V4, thus being able to use a dry clutch and the protection of the clutch crankcase. Among the interesting factors, in fact, the Desmosedici Stradale engine is combined with one STM-EVO SBK dry clutch with a refined anti-hopping function, even in the most decisive downshifts and superior fluidity in the "off-throttle" phases, functional from a performance point of view.
In configuration Euro 5, the power reaches altitude 208 horses at 13.000 rpm and they stand out 123 Nm of couple.
The range of accessories also includes a system Ducati Performance full-racing exhaust by Akrapovič, designed for use on the track. It is characterized by silencers raised and close to the tail and a low overall weight of five kilos. The maximum power in this case reaches i 220 horses. According to the information, the noise level is within the limit of 105 dB, or 102 dB using the dB killer.
