Ducati: from the Streetfighter to the Panigale, many new features at EICMA 2019 [INTERVIEW]

As a hostess, Ducati brings numerous new features to EICMA 2019. The Italian brand presents a very rich stand at the most important event for two wheels, open to the public from 7 to 10 November: from the new Streetfighter to the renewed Panigale, as well as other new models. We talked about it with Paolo Quattrino, product manager of the Ducati sports range.

In the foreground are the new Ducati Street Fighter V4 and V4S, a naked bike with 208 horsepower and extreme performance. “They are sporty models, without fairings and high handlebars – Quattrino's words – 208 HP of maximum power, with very sophisticated electronics, the same as the Panigale V4”.

The manager of the Borgo Panigale brand also talks to us about the other innovations on this model: “There are wings that derive from the experience acquired in the Superbike championship, but in a biplane configuration. Not only aesthetic, but also with a functional value. They create a vertical load especially in the front wheel to ensure great stability at high speeds."

The news on the Ducati Panigale

As we were saying, the Ducati Panigale. The V2 version arrives, which replaces the 959 Panigale as the entry model to this range: “A completely renewed aesthetic, with the monocoque chassis – explains Quattrino – The electronics of the V4 have been used, with the aim of providing a a sporty model but easily controllable both on the track and on the road".

Instead, the Panigale V4: “The objective is to improve the performance of the motorbike, but also increasing the ease of riding. The 2019 version was a little too grumpy, especially for the amateur driver. And so we made these updates." Between other news on the stand we find the Multistrada 1260 GrandTour, the Scrambler Icon Black and two new concepts.
