After being awarded as "Top Employers Italy“, Ducati continues to promote company initiatives and policies aimed at safety for its employees and for all professionals. A project was thus developed for firefighting training for a reserved part of the staff.

A real training moment which, starting from the second half of February, once a month until November 2017, will involve seven of the Ducati employees who are already part of the company's firefighting team. A total of 36 hours of specific and targeted teaching, to best prepare a group of people responsible for fire prevention, firefighting and emergency management within the Borgo Panigale factory.

Always attentive to safety in the workplace, with this training project Ducati confirms itself as particularly sensitive to fire prevention. For this important work plan, the motorcycle manufacturer has chosen an exceptional partner such as National Body of Fire whose institutional objective is precisely the diffusion of the culture of fire safety.

In addition to techniques regarding extinguishing fires and problematic situations, staff will be trained to ensure that the operator's safety is protected during fire-fighting maneuvers thanks to the correct use of equipment. Furthermore, a series of theoretical and practical lessons will follow regarding the assistance of people who have suffered damage to the respiratory tract, as well as a series of procedures for primo soccorso. The course will end with some purely theoretical lessons on the chemistry and physics of combustion together with hydrodynamics.

The training meetings will be held, among others, by Gianfranco Tripi, manager of the Provincial Command of the Fire Brigade of Bologna, And Mario Prince, manager of the Prevention Service and Technical Service.
