DUCATI SCRAMBLER – The countdown is over. The much mysterious "yellow container" was finally opened and everyone could see the new Ducati motorcycle. After the preview to Ducati employees and Ducatisti present at the World Ducati Week 2014, it is officially ready for all two-wheel enthusiasts and not just the jewels of Borgo Panigale.

Lo Ducati Scrambler wants to be a starting point to satisfy the needs and tastes of different types of motorcyclists, thanks to its contemporary soul made of refined materials, like the aluminum of the swingarm and the engine plates and the steel of the teardrop tank and the frame, to which the Ducati designers wanted to combine what will accompany us into the future, such as the front and rear LED lights and the LCD instrumentation.

Lo Ducati Scrambler wants to offer its rider a riding position as relaxed as possible and it is for this reason that the handlebars and saddle have been increased in proportions, together with a reduction in the weight of the bike, 170 kg dry, and a low center of gravity.

The design has been defined as "post-heritage" interpreting the traditional values ​​of the Bolognese house revisited in a modern key and therefore we are not talking about a vintage motorbike but rather a normal evolution of a model that has only returned to production today. For the happiness of all Ducati enthusiasts.

Curiosity also arouses to see the Ducati Scrambler in action and above all to hear his roar 803 cm3 air-cooled L-twin engine. Other features worth highlighting are the die-cast aluminum rear swingarm, which moves the lateral suspension, ten-spoke alloy wheels measuring 18'' at the front and 17'' at the rear and two-channel ABS as standard, inserted in the braking system with 330 mm front disc and 245 rear disc. The steel tube frame has a wheelbase of 1445 mm, the fork is a 41 mm inverted Kayaba and the tires have dimensions 110/80 R18 and 180/55R17 .

Curiosity also arouses to see the Ducati Scrambler in action and above all to hear his roar 803 cm3 air-cooled L-twin engine. The Desmodue engine of the Ducati Scrambler was created to favor smooth acceleration at all speeds and this is why it has lightweight crankcases and machined aluminum clutch and alternator covers; to integrate with the compact steel tank with the characteristic drop shape, the engine has been equipped with a single 50 mm Ø throttle body with two injectors under the throttle, a solution that guarantees fluid delivery and accurate control of the title of the mixture sucked in each cylinder. The exhaust, on the other hand, is 2 in 1 with an aluminum silencer and is equipped with an aluminum heat shield to guarantee better thermal protection for those in the saddle and is EURO 3 compliant.

Lo Scrambler Ducati Icon will be available in yellow and red and will have three versions to choose from: urban enduro, characterized by the “Wild Green” color, a Enduro that adapts to everything, Full Throttle, for those who love the world of racing, and Classic, for those who love details and 70s style, but don't want to give up the driving pleasure and comfort of a contemporary motorbike.
