The number of employees exceeded 1.900 presences for the first time in 2021, furthermore the company achieved the Top Employer Italy certification for the eighth consecutive time.
Among the most interesting innovations presented recently, for 2022 the Ducati DesertX, a medium-displacement enduro model with features that allow for high movement versatility and updated Ducati Panigale V4 which evolves and becomes even more sporty and high-performance, also underlining the latter Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 with a “Winter Test” look and sophisticated solutions that enhance its performance.

Ducati's competitive potential is evident in particular in its activity on the track, given its participation in the MotoGP World Championship (which started last March 6 with the first round in Qatar) after the second consecutive success of the MotoGP constructors' title obtained in 2020 and in 2021, but also with participation in the equally prestigious Superbike World Championship.
The innovative path is also interesting, with the announcement of a new commitment in the history of the brand linked to electric propulsion. The company will begin this new path from the 2023 season as the sole supplier of motorcycles for the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup.
This is precisely an important aspect in the future of the company with investments in innovation to grow the respective proposal, always keeping in mind values such as: Style, Sophistication, Performance and Trust.

A record year

As mentioned, the Borgo Panigale brand delivered 59.447 motorcycles worldwide, a significant result.
Another record was also recorded in revenues, equal to 878 million euros with an increase of 30% on 2020 and 23% on 2019. The operating result was also considerable, reaching 61 million euros and growing by 154% on 2020 and 18% on 2019. It should also be noted that the operating margin of 7% is consistent with the levels before the pandemic.
Ducati also confirmed the future investments for development and innovation, which will be self-financed as indicated.

The results were achieved despite the supply crisis and the shortage of components, as specified, an aspect on which Ducati is also working with the support of the Volkswagen Group. From this point of view, the synergistic potential between this reality and the others within the aforementioned group is also underlined. A functional potential in the electric mobility sector.
