Starting on Monday 27 April 2020, the activities in the plant Ducati di Borgo Panigale gradually resume. In a first phase of progressive reactivation, as has emerged, a part of the workers working in the production lines are engaged.

The first to return are the workshop workers, then those from the engine assembly department and from Tuesday 28th April those who deal with the assembly of the vehicles.

Claudio Domenicali, CEO di Ducati, underlined the work done to protect the safety of operators and the adoption of protective devices in addition to distancing. Compliance with the measures allows us to start again considering the period, keeping in mind the seasonality of the two-wheeler market and the order portfolio linked to the new products.
However, visits remain suspended, just as access to the facilities by external personnel is prohibited, except for specific and proven reasons.

Production itself was redefined, going from one eight-hour shift to two seven-hour shifts, with a minimum of operators present in the environments at the same time, thus reducing the possibility of concentrations. The canteen area is also active, but each four-person station can only accommodate one employee.
The rules of conduct are aligned with the updated shared protocol of 24 April, with the constant obligation to use masks regardless of distance.
