The evolution of the continues Ducati Panigale V4 with functional electronic refinements to accentuate its qualities and make the Model year 2023 even more intuitive.

The model, versions and updates

Ducati Panigale V4 it is a sports car that transmits high performance, a top example of the exchange of information and technologies between the racing scene and series production. A motorcycle used by Ducati riders during training sessions, designed to meet both the requests of amateurs and those of professionals who hit the tracks on weekends. A bike that is the protagonist together with the Panigale V2 of the "Lenovo Race of Champions", scheduled for Saturday 23 July on the occasion of World Ducati Week 2022 with 21 Ducati riders from the MotoGP and Superbike championships engaged on the asphalt of the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

The 2023 variant represents a new result of the constant development of the model on an annual basis, as happens with the Ducati Corse prototypes.
The proposed updates for the specimens Panigale V4, V4 p e V4 SP2 2023, are also planned for the 4 Panigale V4, Panigale V4 S and Panigale V2 SP2022 models through an intervention at a Ducati Service, starting from the end of July.
The 2022 model represents a significant evolution of the sports car since it was introduced, given the improvements from an aerodynamic point of view, in ergonomics, in the electronics and also on a technical level. The 2023 variant is a further step forward, with the introduction of an updated electronics package that intensifies driving sensitivity and performance.

Considering stability, precision and balance when braking and entering corners, as well as a fine precision in defining the electronic set-up on each track, a new Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO 2 software. A solution that allows a different calibration gear by gear on each of the three levels. A new strategy designed to optimize the intensity of the engine braking based on the load on the rear area. In the first braking phase, with little load on the rear tire, the EBC EVO 2 offers less engine braking, progressively increasing it when reaching the center of the curve, where the engine brake offers the greatest action in braking the motorbike and in connecting the trajectory . With this update, given the more balanced intervention of engine braking management in every situation, as indicated, rear wheel locking during more intense braking is also attenuated.

It is also worth mentioning anew cooling fan control strategy, promoting better management of operating temperatures and greater thermal comfort for drivers, even at normal road speeds. An intervention that reduces the typical accumulation of heat at the end of track sessions.
Also introduced one new strategy for the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) with a refined fluidity in gear changes at every degree of opening of the accelerator, when it is partialized and when it is fully open, dealing with the situations mentioned in a different way.
With partial throttle, we move from an injection cut of the previous strategy to an advance reduction, smoothing the gear shift in road use through the absence of turning the engine off and on again, as underlined.
In the other case, usual when riding on the track, the DQS strategy continues to exploit the injection cut, but with an evolution of the torque restitution phase which offers more stability to the bike and a more homogeneous and functional thrust at the level performance.

The package for 2023 also includes a improvement of Ducati Traction Control strategies (DTC) and Ride-by-Wire. An evolution of the first to make the work of the traction control even more effective as a function of the lean angle, while in the second there is a refinement in the connection between the torque requested by the rider and the torque delivered. A series of interventions as part of constant development.
