We don't think we're going too far in defining the Ducati Panigale V4 the main candidate to play the role of queen of the 2017 edition ofEICMA. To understand why, just take a look at the video we made a few steps from the new motorcycle jewel created by the Borgo Panigale company.

We are faced with a super sports car that brings much of Ducati's know-how in the racing world into series production. Built on an all-new chassis, the Ducati Panigale V4 is equipped with the new one 1.103 cc four-cylinder engine capable of developing a maximum power of 214 CV at 13.000 rpm and a maximum torque of 12,6 kgm at 10.000 rpm.

The angular lines of the design, which evoke those of the 1299 Panigale, hide the great protagonist of this new Ducati: the V4 engine, a close relative of the Desmosedici GP, from which it inherits the 90° V architecture rotated 42° backwards , a solution that made it possible to create the all new frame called Front Frame, which represents the evolution of the 1299 Panigale. This new construction architecture also allowed for better centralization of masses and reduced overall dimensions.

The Ducati Panigale V4 engine benefits from desmodic distribution and, for the first time on a Borgo Panigale bike, combines a full Ride by Wirw accelerator management system, with 4 elliptical throttle bodies connected to 4 high-speed intake manifolds. variable height. The Panigale V4 uses fully adjustable suspension with Show and Sachs components, while on the S and Speciale versions, where the components become more racing, we find the Ohlins EVO electronic suspension.

The Panigale V4's equipment is completed by the Brembo braking system with Stylema monobloc calipers and Marchesini rims wrapped in 120/70-17 and 200/60-17 Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres.

A rich detail is the electronic equipment of the new Ducati motorcycle on which we find a series of unprecedented controls thanks to the six-axis Bosch platform. Of particular note are the controlled skid when braking, the ABS Cornering EVO active only on the front brake to enhance driving on the track and the Quickshift Up&Down EVO which supports the lean angle. Put together by the three Riding Modes, which manage the calibration, we find the Engine Brake Control EVO, the Ducati Slide Control, the Ducati Traction Control EVO, the Ducati Power Launch and the Ducati Wheelie Control EVO.

As regards the prices the Ducati Panigale V6 costs 22.590 euros, for the V4 S version it costs 27.890 euros, while the Panigale V4 Speciale costs 39.900 euros.
