The sound, the progression, the rapid and decisive gear changes of the rider Luca Salvadori on the new one Ducati Panigale V4, on the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. An example of the potential of this sports car in a film proposed by Ducati on Youtube.

The motorcycle

The new Ducati Panigale V4 it is a model that has evolved in various aspects, from the aesthetic to the technical part and an example is also available S.
The new graphic design defined by Ducati Style Center it features black logos on the red-tinted fairings, on the S version there is a double two-tone fabric saddle and you can also see red tags on the black rims.
Proposals for accessories present in the Ducati Performance catalogue, which includes approved parts and others expressly designed for use on the track.
The bike is recognizable by a new fairing, with a lower area occupied by redefined extraction outlets to optimize the cooling and performance offered by the engine, particularly when racing on a track. The new wing profiles also stand out, more compact and double-profile elements, obtaining an increase in efficiency with the same vertical load of up to 37 kg at 300 km/h, according to the information.
The new shape of the tank in the "fit" area favors better support for the rider during braking, with less effort on the arms. Overall, it allows for better insertion of the rider, also optimizing the contact area of the arms during the hanging off phase, when one leans out of the motorbike in the middle of the bend.
The saddle appears flatter and has a different double fabric covering.

Technical aspects and contents

In the video, given the perspective concentrated in the dashboard area, the motorcycle's instrument panel is particularly noticeable. The new generation electronic package is associated with a six-axis inertial platform that detects various parameters and there are also controls that manage the different riding phases associated with four Riding Modes: Race A, Race B, Sport e Street. The parameters are visible on the instrument panel, characterized by a new distribution of the functions of the external warning lights. The interface includes a new Info Mode defined by MotoGP riders and called "Track Evo", added to Road and Track.
In the new setting, the rev counter is visible in the upper part along a horizontal scale, while the gear is highlighted in the centre. On the right side there are also four sectors of different colors and dedicated to as many electronic control systems: DTC, DWC, DSC, EBC. On the left the speed and number of laps performed are visible and the stopwatch is also present. The gear change is signaled by a green LED present in an area always on the left.
From a technical point of view, the Desmosedici Stradale engine is a stressed element of the structure and the aluminum Front Frame is directly anchored to it. The scheme also includes a lightweight front subframe made of magnesium and a seat post made of shell-cast aluminium.
The new Ducati Panigale V4 It is equipped with a fully adjustable Showa Big Piston Fork (BPF) with a diameter of 43 millimeters and a Sachs steering damper. At the back there is an always adjustable Sachs mono-shock absorber and the wheels are cast in aluminum characterized by a five-spoke design.
La Ducati Panigale V4S instead presents a new pressurized Öhlins NPX25/30 fork with event-based electronic management, characterized by a damping system with pressurized cartridge borrowed from that of the Öhlins racing forks, minimizing the risk of cavitation of the hydraulic fluid in the face of a traditional.
The travel of the new fork is 125 mm, a figure increased by 5 mm compared to that linked to the 4 Panigale V2021. The possibility of adopting softer settings is highlighted, given a spring stiffness that has increased to 9,5 N/mm , offering greater confidence during the most intense braking and preserving a little margin compared to the bottom of the stroke, as indicated.
An Öhlins TTX36 mono-shock absorber and an Öhlins steering damper are also highlighted, again equipped with an event-based control system, allowing the ability to customize the intensity of suspension intervention.
The pivot of the aluminum single-sided swingarm is 4 mm higher than the previous model and allows an increase in the anti-squat effect, i.e. a decrease in the sinking of the rear when exiting corners and when reopening the throttle at advantage of stability in progression.
The braking system includes discs with a diameter of 330 mm at the front and Brembo Stylema® monobloc calipers with four 30 mm diameter pistons each, while at the rear there is a single 245 mm disc combined with a 2-piston caliper.
The Ducati Panigale V4 S is also equipped with 3-spoke forged aluminum alloy wheels shod with 120/70 ZR17 Pirelli DIABLO™ Supercorsa SP tires at the front and 200/60 ZR 17 at the rear.

Thruster

The engine Desmosedici Stradale da 1.103 cc with standard Euro 5 is further evolved for 2022, based on the adoption of dedicated technical elements. A new Power Mode logic has been implemented with four configurations: Full, High, Medium, Low. The Full and Low ones are newly designed, while the High and Medium ones use a new strategy. Also interesting is the adoption of a new gearbox with a lengthened ratio for the first, second and sixth gears.
The power reaches i 215,5 horses at 13.000 rpm, an increase in power of 1,5 horsepower compared to the previous version, rising to 2,5 horsepower beyond the maximum power peak at 14.500 rpm. The couple appears to be 123,6 Nm (12,6 kgm) at 9.500 rpm, of which 80% is available already from 6.000 rpm, as indicated.
Speaking of performance, we highlight racing exhaust systems by consulting the Ducati Performance catalogue.
