A two-cylinder capable of delivering 155 HP Euro 5

On the occasion of the presentation of the 2020 models, Ducati unveiled the new Panigale V2, the heir to the completely revised 959 capable of staggering numbers.

Let's start with aesthetics. Compared to the "old" version, the lines have been completely revised in favor of a look that recalls, not too subtly, its older sister V4. The motorbike is equipped with highly refined electronics, the now infamous six-axis inertial platform, which guarantees maximum performance on the track and therefore for sporting use, but also comfort for road use thanks to the suspension calibration. the monocoque frame is wrapped in new fairings which are maximized from an aerodynamic point of view and which "hide" the Superquadro twin-cylinder. The Panigale V2 is equipped with the single-sided swingarm and a new exhaust.

The engine is the Superquadro 955 cm³, now compliant with the Euro 5 regulation, it delivers greater power (+ 5 HP) and torque (+
2 Nm). The Superquadro Euro 5 with a maximum power of 155 HP at 10.750 rpm and a maximum torque of 104 Nm at 9.000 rpm keeps its character unchanged: it can be exploited and enjoyed on the road, just as it can be effective on the track without ever put you in difficulty. The valve clearance check is scheduled every 24.000 km and the service is performed every 12.000 km or 12 months.

The new electronic package raises the standards of active safety and vehicle dynamics control thanks to the addition of the "cornering" functionality applied to the ABS, the quickshift, now also with downshifting operation, the traction, engine braking and wheelie controls . As usual, all the controls are integrated into the three Riding Modes (Race, Sport and Street) and can be modified via the new 4,3" color TFT dashboard with graphics and interface designed to make menu navigation and adjustment of the settings, as well as more immediate identification of the selected Riding Mode.
