Ducati – Ducati is not for sale. On the eve of the new appointment with EICMA, which opens its doors to sector operators and the specialized press tomorrow, Audi-Volkswagen has confirmed that the Borgo Panigale brand will not be sold to deal with the economic difficulties linked to the infamous Dieselgate scandal.

According to what appears to Il Sole 24 Ore, Audi's number one, Rupert Stadler, wrote a letter to the employees of the controlled companies to reassure them about their future. Good news therefore arrives from Germany on the fate of the Borgo Panigale brand, which recent rumors saw as on the verge of sale due to the scandal over the emissions of the German giant's diesel engines. Ducati is growing strongly and it seems that Volkswagen also wants to count on the Italian brand to definitively emerge from this dark period. The German Group admitted that Dieselgate was “the hardest test the group had to face,” but also that he is very proud “of the Italian members of our family, who improve year after year.” Stadler's letter ends like this: “Don't listen to these voices, don't let yourself be impressed. We will overcome this difficult situation and emerge stronger."

In fact, Volkswagen cannot afford not to innovate because innovation could once again be the key to getting out of the difficulties of this black autumn. This is also why at EICMA 2015 Ducati's flagship, the Scrambler, will definitely renew its family. Ducati's numbers are really attractive, as mentioned, with growth of 23% compared to last year.
