Ducati Multistrada V4: an exciting journey through some Italian landscapes [VIDEO]

The hairpin bends near the Sardinian coast, the sunny routes of Sicily and those of the Abruzzo Apennines are theaters of action for the new Multistrada V4, in this film proposed by Ducati.

The Multistrada V4 examples

In the film, shot in compliance with the regulations relating to the health emergency, the technical and technological nature of the new powerful explorer signed by the Borgo Panigale brand emerges. Multiple versions of a model featuring solutions such as Ducati Connect and a map navigator connected to a display from 6,5 inches present on Multistrada V4 S e Multistrada V4 S Sport. While on Multistrada V4 a digital instrument panel is proposed TFT from 5 inches.
The overview of solutions is linked to a package with Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection and DTC, DWC, DQS, as well as systems such as latest generation Quick Shift, four Riding Modes opting between Sport, Touring Urban and Enduro; therefore Autolevelling, four Load modes depending on the load and over 400 parameter combinations for the semi-active Ducati Skyhook suspension still considering the Multistrada V4 S and Multistrada V4 S Sport versions.

Among the most interesting aspects stands out the adoption of radar in the front and rear areas, as assistance devices. The front radar is combined with an adaptive cruise control, while the rear one takes care of vehicles present in the so-called "blind spot" or approaching.
The variants are also distinguishable from the characterization, starting from the specimen Multistrada V4 in the same color Ducati Red with black circles. There Multistrada V4 S, together with a coloring red, also includes a robe Aviator Grey with glossy black rims and red tag, opting between spoked or alloy rims. Configuration packages also reported Essential, Travel, Travel & Radar, Performance e Full can be ordered at the factory. So the Multistrada V4 S Sport it features a Sport livery and glossy black wheels and red alloy or spoked tag, also considering a Performance package with carbon front mudguard and Akrapovič exhaust.

Setting

The lightweight aluminum monocoque frame is derived from the MotoGP experience and components such as a two-element rear trellis structure, superstructures, deflectors, vents and the light clusters appear to be set. The luminous signature is peculiar DRL associated with full lights LED . A Cornering Light system is also indicated on the Multistrada V4 S and Multistrada V4 S Sport.
Featuring a new double-sided swingarm and a 19-inch front wheel, the vision is muscular and aerodynamic with a 22-litre tank and compact proportions.
The front adjustable upside-down fork has a diameter of 50 mm and the aforementioned rear solution is progressive with monoshock absorber, also fully adjustable with remote management of the spring preload and double-sided aluminum swingarm. Wheel travel at the front and rear is 170 and 180 mm respectively.
The braking system changes slightly from the model Multistrada V4 Multistrada V4 S e Multistrada V4 S Sport, taking into account two 320 mm front discs with Brembo monobloc calipers with four pistons and two pads or 330 mm on V4 S and V4 S Sport with Brembo M50 Stylema® radial-mount monobloc calipers with four pistons and two pads with radial master cylinder. In the rear area, a single 265 mm disc and Brembo two-piston floating caliper are visible. Always features a Cornering ABS system.
The wheelbase reaches a 1.567 mm with a ground clearance of 220 mm (46 mm more in comparison with the Multistrada 1260, as mentioned) and the standard seat can be managed in two positions 840 e 860 mm, being able to adopt a lowered saddle with 50 mm of foam for a height of up to 810 mm. You can opt for a saddle increased in thickness, reaching 875 mm, as reported. The wheels are paired with 120/70 ZR 19 tires in the front area and 170/60 ZR 17 tires in the rear.

Thruster

The engine V4 Grandtourism with cylinders arranged at 90°, of 1.158 cc, it is Euro 5 approved. The data linked to the valve clearance check interval at 60.000 km is interesting, as reported.
The power reaches 170 horses at 10.500 rpm and the peak torque is a value of 125 Nm at 8.750 rpm. A thrust to be compared to a dry weight of 215 kg (in the case of the Multistrada V4, 218 kg for the V4 S and 217 kg for the V4 S Sport). The engine is associated with a six-speed gearbox with Ducati Quick Shift Up & Down system.
