Ducati Multistrada V4 it is a concentration of technique and technology. An example of consistent versatility linked to the highlighted features, including a distinctive structured style and a new heart V4.

variants

Articulate the proposal starting with an example Multistrada V4 in Ducati Red color with black rims. Model Multistrada V4 S, in addition to a red color, it can also dress in an alternative Aviator Gray together with glossy black rims and red tag, opting between spoked or alloy rims. Also designed are Essential, Travel, Travel & Radar, Performance and Full configuration packages that can be ordered from the factory. Then the model Multistrada V4 S Sport with a Sport livery and glossy black wheels and red alloy or spoke tag, also considering a Performance package with carbon front mudguard and Akrapovič exhaust, as reported.

Aesthetics

The appearance anticipates a marked dynamism. The result of a symbiosis between a monocoque frame lightweight aluminum derived from MotoGP experience and several other particulates listing a rear trellis structure with two elements, the same superstructures, the deflectors, the vents and the light clusters set with a connotative light signature DRL and lights full-LED with Cornering Light system on Multistrada V4 S and S Sport, as well as integrated indicators; then a new double-sided swingarm and a 19-inch front wheel that define a muscular and aerodynamic vision with compact proportions and a 22-liter tank. Near this there is a space in which there is a USB socket, where for example you can place a telephone connected via Wifi or Bluetooth to the interactive system.
The aerodynamics are also functional from a thermal point of view and we note optimized ergonomics with a narrow central section, a more welcoming seat and a height adjustable to two positions, together with a refined exhaust from the point of view of the manifold and terminals , considering a stainless steel single silencer with double catalyst and four lambda probes.

Technique and technology

One of the most interesting and already anticipated innovations is the adoption of radars in the front and rear areas, as auxiliary devices. The motorcyclist always has control of the vehicle.
The front radar is associated with adaptive cruise control, while the rear one is interested in vehicles present in the so-called "blind spot" or approaching at a high speed, based on the information.
It also features a TFT digital instrument cluster da 5 inches on Multistrada V4 and from 6,5 inches with Ducati Connect and map navigator on Multistrada V4 S and S Sport. The reported package was also varied solutions with the aforementioned Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection and DTC, DWC, DQS, as well as systems such as latest generation Quick Shift, four Riding Modes opting between Sport, Touring Urban and Enduro; therefore Autolevelling, four Load modes depending on the load and over 400 parameter combinations for the semi-active Ducati Skyhook suspension considering the Multistrada V4 S and V4 S Sport versions.
The motorbike is equipped with an adjustable front fork with upside down legs of 50 mm in diameter, while as mentioned the rear solution is progressive with a monoshock which is also fully adjustable with remote management of the spring preload and a double-sided aluminum swingarm. The wheel travel in the front and rear areas amounts to 170 and 180 mm respectively.
The braking system changes slightly on the Multistrada V4 compared to the V4 S and V4 S Sport, taking into account two 320 mm discs in front with Brembo monobloc calipers with four pistons and two pads or 330 mm on the V4 S and V4 S Sport with monobloc calipers Brembo M50 Stylema® radial mount with four pistons and two pads with radial pump. At the rear, however, there is always a 265 mm disc and a Brembo two-piston floating caliper. Always features a Cornering ABS system.
The wheelbase amounts to 1.567 mm with a height from the ground of 220 mm (46 mm more in comparison with the Multistrada 1260, as mentioned) and the standard seat can be managed in two positions at 840 and 860 mm with the possibility of adopting a saddle lowered with 50 mm of foam for a height of up to 810 mm. You can opt for a saddle increased in thickness, reaching 875 mm, as reported. The wheels wear 120/70 ZR 19 tires in the front area and 170/60 ZR 17 tires in the rear area.

Motor

The V-shaped four-cylinder engine arranged at 90° from 1.158 cc, Euro 5, is 85 millimeters shorter, 95 mm lower and 20 mm wider than a Testastretta DVT engine. As well as reduced weight of 1,2 kg, for 66,7 kg. Also interesting is the indicated valve clearance check interval at 60.000 km.
Transmitted a power of 170 horses at 10.500 rpm and a maximum torque of 125 Nm at 8.750 rpm. Power to be compared to a dry weight of 215 kg (in the case of the Multistrada V4, 218 kg for the V4 S and 217 kg for the V4 S Sport). We note a six-speed gearbox with Ducati Quick Shift Up & Down system.
