Technology and interaction are the themes of a film proposed by Ducati on YouTube, focused on the instrumentation and connectivity on the new bike Multistrada V4 S.

A technological specimen

Andrea Rossi, Ducati collaborator as tester and Product Specialist, intervenes in the video. We are talking specifically about the instrumentation combined with the Multistrada V4 S, equipped with a screen TFT da 6,5 inches. A screen adjustable in four positions and with a new one HMI interface (Human Machine Interface). The system is also highlighted Ducati Connect and associated features.
The 6,5-inch TFT instrument panel is also associated with the Multistrada V4 S Sport, with solutions such as Ducati Connect and a map navigator. While the Multistrada V4 features a 5-inch TFT display.
The system overview itself is varied considering the Multistrada V4, Multistrada V4 S and Multistrada V4 S Sport, ranging from a package with Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection and DTC, DWC, DQS, to other solutions such as the latest generation Quick Shift, four Riding Modes opting between Sport, Touring Urban and Enduro; therefore Autolevelling, four Load modes depending on the load and over 400 parameter combinations for the semi-active Ducati Skyhook suspension taking into account the Multistrada V4 S and V4 S Sport versions.
They continue to talk about technology, the use of radar in the front and rear area also stands out, one of the most interesting aspects of the model, considering an adaptive cruise control and a vehicle detector in the so-called "blind spot".

The specialised farming model

The bike features a lightweight aluminum monocoque frame and a two-piece trellis rear structure. The light signature of the DRL light clusters is characteristic, also mentioning full LED lights and Cornering Light system considering the Multistrada V4 S and Multistrada V4 S Sport. The appearance is also defined by baffles, vents and superstructures. The technical framework also includes a new double-sided swingarm and a 19-inch front wheel. The tank can hold 22 liters and nearby there is a space where you can leave, for example, a phone connected via Wifi or Bluetooth to the model's interactive system, which features a USB socket.
The wheelbase extends for 1.567 mm, the height from the ground reaches 220 mm (46 mm more in comparison with the Multistrada 1260, as mentioned) and the standard seat can be managed in two positions: 840 e 860 mm, with the possibility of adopting a lowered saddle with 50 mm of foam for a height of up to 810 mm. You can opt for a saddle increased in thickness to 875 mm.

The motorcycle is equipped with a 50 mm diameter adjustable upside-down front fork and a progressive rear solution with a mono-shock absorber, always adjustable, with remote management of the spring preload and a double-sided aluminum swingarm. The travel of the front and rear wheels is 170 mm and 180 mm.
The braking system changes slightly between the Multistrada V4 and the Multistrada V4 S and Multistrada V4 S Sport, noting two 320 mm front discs with Brembo monobloc calipers with four pistons and two pads or 330 mm on the V4 S and V4 S Sport with monobloc calipers Brembo M50 Stylema® radial mount with four pistons and two pads with radial pump. At the back there is always a 265 mm disc and Brembo two-piston floating caliper. Figure a Cornering ABS system. The front wheel is 120/70 ZR 19, the rear 170/60 ZR 17.
The Ducati Multistrada V4 is equipped with a new engine 1.158 cc, according to standards Euro 5. Transmitted a power of 170 horses at 10.500 rpm with a torque peak of 125 Nm at 8.750 rpm.
