Ducati MotoE: the prototype in action on the Vallelunga track [VIDEO]

A different sound compared to that transmitted by the already known racing bikes, but it is an equally intense and evocative form of power. In a video proposed by Ducati, on YouTube and via social media, the prototype “V21L” connected to the project Ducati MotoE.

The development of the prototype

In the video, the prototype of Ducati MotoE is driven on the Vallelunga track by former MotoGP rider Alex De Angelis, who participated in the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup in 2019. The rider joins the development team, which among the test riders also includes the expert Michele Pirro, who has already ridden the specimen.

This project represents another interesting chapter in the history of the brand, marking the beginning of a new electrifying journey. In the coming months the manufacturer will offer further information on the technical progress of the specimen and on the further steps of the project. 
The program continues from the first track test at the Misano World Circuit last December. A team effort that is involving numerous company areas and which involves technical developments, data analysis, and various tests carried out internally and on the track.

Il prototype “V21L” it is the result of close collaboration and discussion between Ducati Corse and product R&D, in defining a high-performance model, also considering aspects such as notable lightness for an electric model.
A job related to the role of sole supplier of motorcycles is preferably used for FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup, the electric category of the MotoGP™ World Championship, from the 2023 season.
