The new Ducati Monster SP is a bold interpretation of the evolved Monster concept. One of the novelties of the Borgo Panigale brand for the 2023.

Appearance and technology

This sporting vision of the Monster is underlined by factors supporting dynamic driving which help to contain the weight of the vehicle.
You immediately notice a new graphic design that recalls the colors of the Desmosedici GP and other details stand out, for example the large Ducati logo on the tank which draws inspiration from the graphics of the Ducati Panigale V4, the red saddle integrated into the side view with the tail, the gold anodizing of the Öhlins NIX30 fork, the Monster SP logo on the passenger seat cover and a Termignoni approved silencer.
Electronics include Riding Modes Sport, Road and an introduced Wet for increased safety in the wet, together with electronic controls, in order to maximize the qualities of the cycling part. The motorcycle features a 4,3-inch color TFT instrument panel characterized by sporty graphics with management via the controls linked to the handlebars.
Other solutions also include: ABS Cornering, Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Wheelie Control, all adjustable to various levels, as well as Launch Control.

New sportsmanship

The Monster concept remains confirmed, adding a chassis base of Superbike origin and a lively propulsive heart.
The dynamism, the ability to close the trajectories, the braking performance, the limited load transfers, are all aspects dependent on the various elements of the chassis.
There is a steering damper which strengthens stability during acceleration and cornering, together with the adoption of Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires as original equipment.
The technical framework also includes fully adjustable Öhlins suspensions, of which a fork that is 0,6 kg lighter than that present on Monster and Monster +, resulting in enhanced sensitivity and an increase in ground clearance and lean angle. A sportier calibration is also highlighted, which intensifies the character of the bike on the track and on mixed routes.

The braking system is more powerful, given the adoption of Brembo Stylema® calipers and aluminum flanges for the 320 mm diameter front discs. Here too we highlight a weight reduction of 0,5 kg compared to the Monster.
Il overall weight reduction it also concerns the adoption of a lithium ion battery, obtaining a saving of approximately 2 kg in running order compared to the traditional example, even considering the presence of elements such as the steering damper and the fairing.
The frame is Front Frame, reminiscent of that of the Panigale V4. This is an aluminum solution bonded directly to the heads of the Testastretta 11° twin-cylinder engine characterized by desmodromic distribution which includes 4 valves and liquid cooling. The horsepower is 111. The model is also offered in a weakened variant from 35 kW, for holders of an A2 driving licence.
