Ducati Monster 821, here is the new average from Borgo Panigale

A few months after the successful presentation of the Monster 1200 at EICMA 2013, the new Monster 821, reinforces the concepts underlying the twenty-year success of the whole family as demonstrated by the over 290.000 motorbikes sold: essentiality, fun, style and versatility.

For the first time the prestigious Testastretta engine it is also used for the entrance door to the family in the 821cc engine capacity. The liquid-cooled four-valve twin-cylinder engine is here in the famous version called 11° which combines high power and great tractability at low revs, always accompanied by the unmistakable Ducati sound. There maximum power is 112 HP which associated with a dry weight of only 179.5 kg always ensures maximum fun guaranteed by an absolutely remarkable weight/power ratio.

The advanced technology of the braking system, the excellent suspensions and reference components combined with the unmistakable Italian style, combine with the new ergonomics, to offer the new medium-displacement Monster that is more fun, high-performance, but also more versatile than ever. . The Monster 821 is in fact widely customizable according to the tastes and needs of each customer: the saddle is height adjustable and the cutting-edge electronics are equipped with traction control adjustable on 8 intervention levels, ABS adjustable on 3 intervention levels e Power Mode adjustable on 3 levels to always have the power and engine response suited to the needs of the road. All these features are integrated into the Ducati Riding Modes, which can be selected simply using the arrow return button.

The Monster 821 is presented in two versions: the Monster 821 Dark, essential and aggressive in its "Dark Stealth" color with black frame and rims, to which is added the Monster 821, equipped as standard with a passenger seat cover and proposed both in "Ducati Red" (with red frame and rims black) and in the “Star White Silk” color (with red frame and rims).

The new Borgo Panigale motorcycle will be available through the sales network in Italy starting from July 2014 at the price of 9.990 € fc for the Monster 821 Dark and of 10.490 € fc euro for the Monster 821. The new Monster 821 will also be available in weakened version (35kw) in the European Community countries and in the Swiss market (25kw).
