Ducati Monster 1200 – Ducati returns to the origins of the Monster, with a motorcycle that is new in form and substance. When Ducati planners and designers began working on the new Ducati Monster 1200, they took inspiration from the foundations of the initial 1993 project: the concept of the "sport naked bike".

The Ducati Monster 1200 is therefore a new project in design and content for the famous naked bike from Borgo Panigale. Also available in the precious and high-performance S version, the Ducati Monster 1200 has a slimmer tank, a completely redesigned sporty tail, a new and technological front headlight and first-rate electronics derived from that of the 1299 Panigale.

The Ducati Monster 1200 is pure Monster essence. Volumes, silhouette, tank and headlight are faithful to the lines of the motorcycle created in 1993. The iconic and unmistakable steel tank also returns to being equipped with a fixing hook, exactly like the first Monster. The Ducati Monster 1200 is equipped with the latest evolution of the Testastretta 11° DS which not only guarantees high power and torque values but also a smooth and full power delivery curve right from low revs and an always gradual and well-manageable accelerator response , therefore maximum driving fun. The Ducati twin-cylinder of the Monster 1200 is capable of delivering 150 HP at 9.250 rpm (15 HP more than the previous Monster 1200 and 5 HP more than the previous Monster 1200 S), and a maximum torque of 126,2 Nm at 7.750 rpm. Thanks to careful calibration of the Ride by Wire system, the Ducati Monster 1200 is able to guarantee smooth performance in an extremely fluid manner to the full advantage of riding pleasure and precision. Furthermore, the new #monster1200 is EURO 4 approved.

The frame is the classic steel tube trellis which uses the Testastretta twin-cylinder as the stressed element of the chassis. Connected to the engine are the new and compact single-sided swingarm and the new rider footrests cast in aluminium, separate from those of the passenger. The rich electronic package, integrated with the three different Riding Modes (Sport, Touring and Urban), includes the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) which provides information to the Bosch Cornering ABS and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) systems. Thanks to this high-level electronic equipment, the #monster1200 is able to guarantee performance of a true Ducati naked sport but manageable and within everyone's reach, always offering a high level of active safety.

The front braking system is made up of two 330 mm diameter Brembo discs coupled with Brembo EVO M50 monobloc calipers, the same as the 1299 Panigale. The Ducati Monster 1200 S is also equipped with the #ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up/down system (available as an accessory for the Monster 1200), 3-spoke Y-shaped wheels with exclusive "S" graphics, a front mudguard in carbon, while the front headlight is characterized by the DRL (Daytime Running Light) and the direction indicators are LED and not lamps.

The Ducati Monster 1200 is a perfectly balanced motorcycle which, thanks to its engine, brakes, chassis and electronics, is able to offer the maximum in terms of pure riding pleasure. The handling, power and torque of the Ducati Monster 1200 guarantee maximum fun, without compromises.
