Ducati – In 2014 Ducati Motor Holding Spa recorded a new sales record, delivering 45.100 motorcycles to customers, the 2% more than in 2013, confirming the growth trend for the fifth consecutive year.

This was reported in a note from the Borgo Panigale brand which explains that the increase is also linked to the introduction of new products which, despite the market uncertainty, contributed to achieving this result. We talk in a particular way about the family of the family Monster which, thanks to the arrival of the new 1200 and 821 models, recorded a + 31 %, with 16.409 units registered. It went very well there 899 Panigale which generated a +74% with 5.806 units sold, guaranteeing a 12% increase in volumes for the entire Superbike family, which closed 2014 with a total of 9.788 motorcycles sold all over the world.

- United States vcontinue to be the first world market for Ducati, with 8.804 motorcycles delivered, a market in which registrations were in line with those of 2013, with the Mexico which grew by 8%. Despite the difficult market conditions, sales also increased in South America, especially in Brazil, while in Europe have shown a slowdown, with a -3% corresponding to a total of 19.743 motorcycles sold, caused above all by the difficult situation in some markets.

In Italy Ducati registrations did not maintain the 2013 level, -14% with 4,284 motorcycles sold, while in the other European countries sales were quite stable, with double-digit growth for the United Kingdom (+16% with 2.742 units). Double-digit growth also in Asia, where Ducati achieved its best result ever, i.e. an excellent +11% with 5.787 units sold, especially in Thailand where a convincing +22% was recorded and in China, which, compared to 2013, almost doubled volumes (+ 97%).
