Ducati – Ducati further improves the positive trend of the last 5 years. The first six months of the year saw an excellent increase in volumes of 22% compared to the first half of 2014, recording the absolute record result in its history with 32.600 motorcycles sold all over the world.

Exponential growth worldwide for Ducati. The performances of the first six months of 2015 confirm the United States as the first market for Ducati with a 10% increase in sales. Italy recorded the most robust growth (+51%), followed by Spain (+38%), England (+36%), Germany (+24%) and France (+23%). The results obtained in the single month of June further improve the record recorded last April, reaching the new absolute record of over 7.400 motorcycles sold, 60% more than in the same month of 2014. The important growth and success that Ducati records on the markets are certainly due to the introduction of new models, such as the scramblers, the new Ducati brand just launched in the first half of 2015, which sees 9.000 motorcycles delivered. The positive result is completed by 4.700 Multistrada 1200, 3.700 Monster 821 and over 3.000 panigale. Added to these are Diavel, 899 Panigale, Hypermotard and Monster 1200.

These results generate positive feedback on employment. In fact, in the first six months of 2015 there were 81 new hires in the Borgo Panigale plant, continuing the trend that saw employees grow in both 2013 and 2014, by 53 and 43 people respectively. This brings the number of Ducati employees globally to 1.558, of which 1.191 in Borgo Panigale. “The records that Ducati achieved in the first six months of 2015 are the result of an extraordinary commitment made over the last two years.” said Claudio Domenicali, CEO Ducati Motor Holding. “Products such as the Scrambler, the Multistrada and the 1299 Panigale express the talent of the guys who come into the company every day with the aim of giving life to the dreams of our Ducatisti customers. This exceptional growth is the result of the work of a team capable of managing the complexity of selling in over 90 countries, with 11 branches and three production sites, which therefore makes me particularly proud. The results obtained by the Racing guys, of whom our customers are the main fans, certainly helped us. As an Italian, I also note with great satisfaction the increase in employment and turnover generated within the supply network, the latter being tangible proof of the ability to develop high-value and quality components that best meet the needs of a brand like Ducati".
