Ducati: 90 years celebrated with a trip around the world

Ducati – Ducati is preparing to celebrate its 90th birthday. The Borgo Panigale brand will celebrate the important anniversary with a symbolic tour of the world by motorbike, retracing the places where the most significant pages of its history were written.

The journey will start right from Borgo Panigale and will cross Europe, then continue along the Trans-Siberian railway touching Russia, Mongolia, China and then Japan to land in the United States and return to the Old Continent. The world tour will end after having covered the last kilometers on the Futa state road (where many of the Ducati motorcycles have been developed and tested in recent years), returning to Borgo Panigale with arrival scheduled for 15 December 2016. The new Multistrada 1200 Enduro will travel the 30.000 km of a journey that will last approximately 120 days in which the new multibike from Borgo Panigale will be the torchbearer for a special torch designed by the Ducati Style Center, which will symbolically bring the fire of passion that animates the Bolognese brand throughout the world.

SSeven stages which will see seven riders taking turns driving the new Multistrada 1200 Enduro. Real globetrotters, which Ducati will choose with a selection process that began in recent days. Ducati is looking for seven great travelers and, among all those who send their applications, the most experienced will be evaluated to whom they will entrust the motorbike and torch to become ambassadors of Ducati passion on the roads all over the world. Among the requirements to access the selection it is necessary to be a motorcyclist with globetrotting aptitude, as well as have a good knowledge of the English language. Equally important is familiarity with the textual and photographic story. Ducati is looking for bloggers or travelers who are used to writing and sharing their experiences on the media and on social channels capable of sharing experiences, emotions and the passion for motorbike adventures.

From all the applications received, 14 finalists will be chosen, who will then face a selection between driving tests and psycho-aptitude tests under the supervision of a team of professionals including the former "Dakarian" Beppe Gualini. In the end, the seven globetrotters will be chosen who will take turns riding the new Multistrada 1200 Enduro, carrying the Ducati torch on the most beautiful and fascinating roads in the world.
