Ducati, on the occasion of the 2018 World Premiere, presented the third generation of Hypermotard: the 950, a return to the past and to the tradition of racing supermotards.

Perhaps the thing that stands out the most and makes the Hypermotard 950 even more recognizable are the two under-seat exhausts, around which the design of the bike 'develops'. Compared to the previous version, the 2019 model not only boasts aesthetic and electronic updates, but 'fine' work has been done to lighten the bike. The diet was successful, the weight was reduced by about 4 kg for better handling.

The Hypermotard 950 is powered by the renewed 11 cm³ Testastretta 937° twin-cylinder with a power of 114 HP at 9.000 rpm and a torque of approximately 96 Nm, of which more than 80% is already available at 3.000 rpm.

The electronic package includes: includes Bosch Cornering ABS with Slide by Brake function (in setting 1), Ducati Traction Control Evo (DTC EVO), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up and Down EVO (standard on the 950 SP version and available as an accessory on the 950).

The SP version differs from the standard version mainly for an even more aggressive look and for the suspension department made up of Öhlins with increased travel (+15 mm at the front and +25 mm at the rear), which guarantee a greater lean angle (+ 3rd).

The Hyperomotard 950 and the SP are available in the Ducati Red color with red frame and black rims.

The CEO of Ducati, Claudio Domenicali, during the presentation he said: “It's a project that was born in 2007 and is close to our hearts, because it brings fun and design into a single product. A very long research activity was carried out and we believe that this bike has the true genes of the Hypermotard. It's a motorbike that has become 3 kilos lighter and has become slimmer. We have taken care of the components, with an aluminum fork in the standard version. A motorcycle that has evolved not only in its chassis but also in its engine. A product that has become even more balanced. We also have the SP version, it is 20 mm higher, weighs 2 kg less. A product that is in continuity with the Ducati philosophy, but rejuvenated and will make all fans happy."
