The quality characteristics

Aesthetically we are faced with one slim and sleek motorcycle, with superstructures reduced to a minimum, to give a sense of sportiness. The saddle is high and flat, the front mudguard is high and the tail is sharp, precisely to enhance this feature, furthermore the five-spoke alloy wheels with a "Y" design combine the sporty look with the advantage of lightness. Another unique element are the double silencers mounted at the top, on the sides of the tail, a distinctive element of the Hypermotard family, as well as the super compact LED headlight, which integrates the DRL function with a double "C" light profile.

Speaking of cycling, the Hypermotard 698 Mono weighs just 151 kg (in running order), thanks to the trellis frame with differentiated sections and thicknesses, the cast rims, the brake discs with aluminum flange and the light Marzocchi fork. L'braking system the front features a single 330 mm disc developed specifically by Brembo for this model, with Brembo M4.32 radial caliper. At the rear works a single 240 mm disc, also with a dedicated design.

The engine

The bike is powered by the Superquadro Mono engine, with a maximum power of 77,5 hp, which can rise to 84,5 HP with the Termogoni racing exhaust, which increases the power by 7 horsepower. For younger riders, possess driving license A2, Ducati offers the version with power limited to 35 kW. In this version, the Superquadro Mono delivers 43,5 HP at 6.250 rpm and 5 kgm at 5.750 rpm.

Obviously, there is no lack ofelectronics: ABS Cornering, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, Ducati Power Launch and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up/Down are present, which can be purchased as an accessory for the standard version and as standard on the RVE version.

The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono will be available in dealerships from January, in the classic Ducati Red with powder-coated frame, or in the RVE version with dedicated graphics, black frame and DQS quickshifter as standard.
