Ducati, great protagonist at EICMA 2014

The stand is located in pavilion 18

ducati – At EICMA 2014 Ducati repeats the success of the Intermot in Cologne thanks to its new scrambler which here too has polarized the attention of the general public through its four versions, Icon, Urban Enduro, Full Throttle and Classic. Finding the Ducati stand at the Rho fair, where the International Motorcycle Show is hosted, is very simple given the now unmistakable yellow containers, where thousands of people got involved in this new dimension, getting on the motorbikes and trying out the new garments clothing collection, presented as a world premiere.

It all began on November 3, on the eve of EICMA 2014, when the Scrambler Marathon, which was the opportunity to award prizes to the best videos presented in the competition "Scrambler You Are”. The jury, chaired by the actress Cristiana Capotondi and composed of the journalist Gabriele Niola (Wired), the journalist Luca Tremolada (Il Sole 24 Ore), Giulietta Fara, director of the Future Film Festival and Cristiano Silei, Vice President Sales and Marketing of Ducati, awarded the first prize to the video “One day Edit” of the Italian Francesco Burlando, who was awarded 5.000 euros.

The great protagonist, as mentioned, was, and will be until the fair ends on Sunday 9 November, the Ducati Scrambler, a perfect mix between classicism, given by the aluminum of the swingarm, the engine plates and the steel of the teardrop tank and the frame, and contemporaneity, conferred, instead, by the front and rear LED lights and the LCD instrumentation. The wide handlebars and the long saddle, then, guarantee a comfortable and relaxed riding position and combined with the low weight, the low center of gravity and the slightly knobby tyres, they ensure pure fun in every situation. The "post-heritage" design interprets, in a contemporary key, the values of the iconic motorcycle of the Bolognese company of the 70s.

La clothing collection Scrambler follows the same philosophy as the motorbikes, updating the stylistic heritage of past years, the “post-heritage”, which means taking the best from the past to create something unique and contemporary. Clothing then becomes a real lifestyle capable of breaking down the boundaries between technical and fashion garments, thus creating a vast collection capable of reaching across all generations, offering an essential, authentic and contemporary style suitable for customers of all ages. Following the concept of free expression, three different directions were explored, Urban, Outdoor and Lifestyle.

The new Ducati Scrambler will be available in Italy from February 2015 starting from 8.240 euros ex dealer. In addition to the Scrambler world, Ducati is present at EICMA 2014 with a series of "World Premières", such as the new Multistrada 1200, the Panigale 1299, the Panigale R, the exclusive Diavel Titanium, and the Monster Stripe 821 and 1200 S.
