The Borgo Panigale motorcycle company has released the first official teaser of the new Ducati Diavel, the most important innovation in the Italian manufacturer's pavilion at the International Cycle and Motorcycle Show in Milan, Eicma, scheduled for 2 to 7 November. Let's say it without holding back: it will probably be THE novelty of this year's edition. The nude has been in the finishing phase for a few months and we have already had the opportunity to catch it in some spy photos on the road. For now we have little official information.

It will be called Diavel, which in Bolognese dialect means Devil, because one of the engineers of the motorcycle company, upon seeing the finished prototype, would have exclaimed "diavel al comm Ignurànt". I don't know how to translate the expression well, but I suppose that the sight of the aggressive motorcycle reminded me of the devil. Would any Bolognese who knows their native language kindly translate?

The manufacturer from Borgo Panigale is no stranger to this type of denomination: if we think that Monster means monster and that the naked bike has also had excellent success, it is useless for us to launch into indictments of superstitious paraphrases. And, furthermore, it is said that the genesis of the name Monster is also due to a phrase in the Bolognese dialect of some technician within the Ducati company: the real 'n monster! (he really is a monster).

The new Ducati Diavel? You see it, it looks really energetic, compressed into a few centimeters of sheet metal and embellished with carbon fiber (you can see the unmistakable texture on the fuel tank). The vertical light clusters leave complete space for the view to delve into the belly of the sports car, so much so that it seems like we are looking at a MotoGP fairing.

The new Ducati Diavel, although it seems so rough and poorly cared for, almost never completed, is equipped with all the technological-mechanical refinements of Borgo Panigale: Ducati Traction Control, ABS device, Ducati Riding Modes, Testastretta 11° engine derived from Superbike. And the heaviness, equal to 207 kilograms (although the…thinness of the motorcycle). The rest of the information? After the Milan Motor Show. Don't be impatient.
