Ducati Diavel 1260: the second generation becomes even more "bad" [Photo]

On the occasion of the Ducati World Premiere, the Borgo Panigale company presented the second generations of Diavel: the 1260 and 1260 S.

“Diavel you either love him or hate him and we love him madly.” Ducati CEO begins, Claudio Dominicaliduring the presentation. “Now we are launching it completely renewed. We wanted sporty lines that remained faithful to the style. It is a motorcycle in itself that excites with its shapes and road behavior. The displacement increases and therefore benefits from all the increases in torque. Motorcycle also advanced in terms of electronic components".

The 2019 model gets more aggressive, thanks to a new look and a more powerful engine. Both versions are equipped with a Testastretta DVT 1262 engine, already seen on the Xdiavel. The twin-cylinder is capable of delivering 159 HP (117 kW) at 9.500 rpm and 129 Nm of torque at 7.500 rpm. The S version differs mainly in the fully adjustable Öhlins suspension at the front and rear, and in the Quick Shift up & down Evo gearbox (shifted without using the clutch) as standard (also present in the standard version).

The braking system is branded Brembo and consists of 320 mm diameter front discs and monobloc calipers and 265 mm diameter rear disc.

Updates also from an electronic point of view, with various updates. For the 'standard' version there will be: ABS Cornering EVO Traction Control Evo (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control Evo (DWC), Ducati Power Launch Evo (DPL) and Cruise Control.

The Diavel 1260 is on sale in Sandstone Gray with a black frame while the Diavel S is available in two colors: Thrilling Black, Dark Stealth.
